Prindex is a joint initiative of the Global Land Alliance and Overseas Development Institute. With a plan of creating a global dataset measuring perceptions of property security in over 100 countries, they presented the first wave of results in the Prindex Comparative Report. The 15 countries included were Burkina Faso, Liberia, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Namibia, Zambia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Rwanda, Honduras, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, and Thailand.
The key findings show 25% of respondents indicated that they felt insecure about their property rights. This report delves further into the findings by looking at land-related factors associated with tenure insecurity and the demographic and economic factors associated with tenure insecurity.
